Heather Gray is an interdisciplinary artist based in San Luis Obispo, California. She creates in the disciplines of abstract painting, photography, and contemporary dance, blending these forms to create a perspective uniquely hers, and holds a BA in art history, a minor in studio art, and a BFA in modern dance from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Heather works intuitively, focusing on movement, form, and process, and draws inspiration from a variety of sources, particularly; music, poetry, activism, biology, and psychology. She paints with an affinity for monochrome palettes, mixing textures, matte finishes, and abstract forms.

With a deep interest in exploring the tenderness and heart-work of the human experience through art, Heather seeks to stir and amplify light within the viewer, believing "the artist vocation is to send light into the human heart," (George Sand).
